About the book:-
In the recently built town of Vernon located in the Winter Court, the main lead of the story Gemma is living with her father and sister. All her life Gemma only wants is to read books, doesn’t like attention and independence. Her dream is to acquire a job to earn her own money and achieve financial stability after leaving the continent to escape a drama associated with her name. When she is finally tries to take the first step for a job she is kidnapped by the fae king. In order to escape her trickster fae captor, she must make a deal in exchange for freeing Eliot, the Unseelie King of Winter, by persuading a human girl to fall in love with him, she will have enough money to start a new life.

My thoughts:-
This book is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a Fae twist. Where we have a broody cursed wolf king and a young woman who only wants to be in control of her own destiny. I really loved Gemma’s character and she was very relatable to me.
The story is a slow burn, light and fluffy read. The plot is good and characters are well written. My favourite aspect of the book was when the wolf king and Gemma are fated for a tragic story. It was quite enjoyable read and had me reading all the way through. The book is a part of trilogy but can be read as a standalone as theres no cliffhanger and second book is a retelling of Cinderella.
